Mayte Michelle Rodriguez is famous for playing tough female roles. Her big break was the movie, Girl Fight which she followed up with such hits as The Fast and the Furious, and Resident Evil. Her last role was playing the character of Ana-Lucia in the hit TV show Lost.
She was a voice actor for one of the few female characters of note in Halo. Captain Carol "Foehammer" Rawley, Cortana, the pilot of Commander Miranda Keyes' Pelican in the Flood complex raid, and the pilot of Master Chief's escape pod are the only females in the original video game. The second game features two female marines, voiced by Michelle Rodriguez, Laura Prepon, and Jen Taylor returning as Cortana. The series of books provides a wider view of the soldiers, several of whom are female.
