The Solar System is the home star system for Humans. The System's star is named Sol and the planets that orbit Sol are:

- Sol I - Mercury
- Sol II - Venus
- Sol III - Earth
- Sol IV - Mars
- Sol V - Jupiter
- Sol V-1 - Io - UNSC Listening Post. Diameter: 3,630km. On October 20, 2552, the listening post on Io detects 15 Covenant ships inbound under the command of the Prophet Regret.
- Sol V-6 - Europa - Diameter: 3,138km. Contains a UNSC base. Spartans Linda and Will were on a mission there once.
