Background
Beta Probe is a generic UNSC term referring to one of the Slipspace Probes used by Remote Scanning Outposts. It sent out radio pings and analyzed the spectrum from radio to X rays [1].
Appearances
The Beta Probe of the Archimedes , directly before the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV reported the same findings as Alpha Probe. It gave the object's mass at 20,000 tons[2].
