First: They were at least 10 feet tall, and were much more muscular, although the latter could be because much thicker armor for cold weather purposes. They also have a more animalistic growl. It's unknown if they're a different race of Elites, but it could also be because the animators wanted to interest the players. Another example of this type of elite would be [[Xytan 'Jar Wattinree]] who stood over 11 and a half feet tall. It may be a different species of [[Elites]] that exists but is much fewer.
