RR raises a good point about needing to know about html and programming languages. I would be fine with all of the other parts (protecting pages, deleting spam and crap, banning vandal IP's), but i'd be hopeless if someone came to me with a technical problem. Perhaps then I should wait until I gain some real knowledge of programming languages before I apply, or just perform the otehr duties to the best of my abilities? - How very humble of you. Maybe you should wait, but then again, I'm sure there have been admins who have been less qualified than you and more qualified. Peace. Spartan-James 05:47, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I'm taking a computing course soon, so hopefully I'll gain the qualifications neccessary. Maybe I'll try my luck again after I become good. Specops306, Kora 'Morhek 03:15, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm sure there are many non-admins who are more technically knowledgeable than we, or you, are. Plenty of wiki admins know nothing about html and other programming languages; and it honestly isn't required. There's nothing wrong with directing someone who needs help in that area to ask someone else. -- Manticore (talk) 09:21, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
