Admins and RfA's galore

Written by Manticore, Editor-in-Chief
Since the last edition was published, Halopedia has seen a great deal of changes relating to its administrators. Two RfA's were submitted by veteran user Phil.e, who only recently became a Wikia Central administrator himself. These RfA's, for Manticore and Ryanngreenday, were allowed to run by the administrators, who decided that it was indeed time to get some more admins for the wiki. After a successful RfA, Manticore was promoted to adminstrator status on September 2, 2007.

In the midst of these RfA's, ED announced he would be cutting back his time on Halopedia since commencing classes at college, and so it was with a heavy heart that Phil.e. searched for another user to nominate, in the hopes of becoming known as the RfA-submission-king. After finding his target, and waiting for him to fulfill the rollback requirement, Phil.e. promptly submitted an RfA for veteran user CommanderTony.

Ryanngreenday's and CommanderTony's RfA's are currently running. Users who are eligible to vote are encouraged to do so.

Halopedia Podcast

Written by RelentlessRecusant, Staff Writer
A Halopedia Podcast? "Say what?" Yes! Indeed, we do have a dedicated, official podcast for Halopedia, the Halo Wikia! It was established in September 2007 by GPersonyThingy and RelentlessRecusant as a short talk show between Halopedians that would be fun and entertaining for the Halopedia community. Since then, it's become quite popular, and is expanding with positive feedback from the community regarding its general ridiculousness, sadistic humor, and..."AWESOMENESS!"

It is regularly hosted by RelentlessRecusant with technical support by Guesty-Persony-Thingy. Past guest speakers on the show have been Guesty-Persony-Thingy, Spartan 387, and Forgottenlord. Transcripts are being prepared by Christine. There have been three episodes released as of September 15, 2007, and they are approximately 50 minutes long each and most are available for active, easy listening in .MP3 format.

Discussion topics range from the Halopedia community, Halo 3 updates, quantum superpositions, broadcasters' mothers, and burps.

For further information, visit its main page, Halopedia:Podcast. If you want to help out, please feel free to message RelentlessRecusant at his talk page, Defunct.
