The matriarch of guides was a human living in Marontik on planet Earth several years before the firing of the Halo Array in 97,445 BCE. She was the leader of a guild of guides to which Chakas and Riser also belonged. She was visited by Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting, who described her as "an enormously fat female, tented in a loose robe of white fabric" which Bornstellar regarded as "embarrassingly sheer". At first, she regarded Bornstellar with open suspicion and made several offers the Forerunner considered offensive, including a tour of Marontik's catacombs. Finally, after Bornstellar gave her the last of his scrip, she told him there was a real treasure to be found on the planet and introduced him to Chakas.[1]
