Heh.. that's true, but i wonder what will happen when a monitor player is killed, i doubt that he will just pop back somewhere else lol. If they are killable then there must be some consequences to it --Ravenshaw123 02:30, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

go to your list of objects and hit X on object titles, and a list should pop up.if the "run time maximum" is higher than the amount of that object placed on the map, then select the RTM and lower it so it's the same. start first with the grenades and then move to other objects. This DOES NOT raise the total objects on map limit, it's still 640. Sorry. It would be really cool if someone would post this on the article, but I can't because I dont know a thing about formatting.70.136.142.54 21:05, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Forge info and trivia
Not that anyone really checks Talk pages as bloated as this, but I found some interesting stuff that someone with more time may want to edit into the relevant articles.
From http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?cid=27445
*Chad Armstrong designed the more generically-shaped pieces in the Forge World palette.
*Pete Parsons named Forge World.
*Steve Cotton was influential in keeping Forge World in one piece.
*Weather FX were planned, but there was no time to implement them.
*Bungie's internal tools, including those used to edit map variants, possess no Undo function.
*Map load times mostly come from more "expensive" resources, like textures.
*Forge World wasn't originally planned to be Halo: Reach's Forge-dedicated map. Instead, an under-construction skyscraper in New Alexandria was planned for release as a level, flat Forge canvas. The introduction of the Phased physics mode resulted in that idea being scrapped in favor of canvases that had real terrain.
*Forge's most crippling limitations stem from lighting and performance. This is part of the reason for Forge World's aesthetic, which is often criticized as bland and grey: neutral, low-contrast pieces were needed to maximize performance.
From one-off sources:
*Memory limits are a major factor when adding objects to a map's Forge palette. One can presume that "memory" refers to RAM. Sauce.
**This applies to vehicles as well, in most cases. Sauce.
***Indeed.
***Apparently, they're referring to the RAM needed for the vehicle's existence on the map and its actual physical operation. For example, a Scorpion's performance costs for both graphics and physics were considered when limiting the max count to 4. Sauce.
**Deployable Lookout Towers were likely omitted from Forge palettes due to memory constraints. Sauce.
*Jon Cable may have had something to do with the change in Teleporter behavior from Halo 3 to Reach. Depends on how you interpret the wording of this sauce.
*Devices were introduced late in development, but scrapped due to insufficient testing and the belief that the feature was unnecessary. Sauce.
*The ability to limit the radius of an FX's effect was introduced too late in development to make it into the final game. Sauce.
Indirect source:
*Forgeable callouts, like weather FX, were planned but scrapped. Indirect sauce.

Major Rewrite/Restructure
I am going to put forward an advocation for the Forge page to receive some major changes, for the following reasons:
* Generally poor and unintuitive page structure
* Inconsistent amount of detail between games
* Lack of information from Halo 4 onward
* Lack of current/relevant screenshots
* Terribly disorganized Trivia and Screenshots sections
* Inconsistent section structure
* Possibly unnecessary amount of detail in some places
Restructure
So it's hardly a secret that this page needs an overhaul, badly. I'm pretty happy to do this once uni backs off as I'm fairly familiar with all currently-released iterations of Forge mode, but I have one main consideration. Should this page become a hub page, with pages for individual games like so?
*Forge/Halo 3
*Forge/Halo: Reach
*Forge/Halo 4
*Forge/Halo 2: Anniversary
*Forge/Halo 5: Guardians
As it stands, this page is very clunky and cluttered and I think separating individual games into their own pages in this regard would only benefit attempts to clean up this page and, by extension, this overall section of the site, but I'd love to hear some thoughts on the matter.BaconShelf (talk) 15:49, 28 November 2018 (EST)
:Ok I will admit this page does need this sorta thing. It has my support.-CIA391 (talk) 15:51, 28 November 2018 (EST)
