::::Uh, what? How is ripping off a turret non-canon? It's simply pulling it way from either pins or a gravity-beam; it's not like you need to be super-strong. As for the DMR, it wasn't in ODST... With boarding, all the ODST does is jump on back and punch at the engine. Sure, it's hard to believe, but so was a number of other gameplay mechanics that would leave the ODST bloody-fisted.
