Not sure why this image was colors-corrected to be more neutral, the lighting was the way it was presented in this screenshot found on Halo Waypoint. Personally, it was fine the way it was before. Because while the orange-tinted lighting works in the context of the original screenshot, it looks out of place in an extracted, background-less image where a less extreme sort of lighting is typically used. Since there's no background to provide reference for the viewer, a neutral lighting ensures the colors are closest to the "true" coloration of the object. As for how you do it, Photoshop has plenty of options for this kind of thing. In this case I believe I used Auto Tone.
