Question: in your dealings with 343I, do you happen to know if any of the new ships have been given registries? Also, do any of the ships from Battlegroup Dakota have class names, or are they all just unidentified?

To my knowledge, none of the new ships had registries. The models themselves certainly didn't. They were textured models, but they didn't have any UNSC-specific text or symbols on them. These ships from Battle Group Dakota did have class names when we were producing the Halo 4: The Essential Visual Guide book, however, because they are low rez models the quality of the renders didn't look like those in the rest of the book. Those pages were cut after the first pass review and were given over to Infinity and Forward Unto Dawn, which spread across two pages each now instead of one like all other subjects in the book.

Unfortunately at this time, I can't divulge what those class names are. Since they weren't included in anything published yet, 343i had the opportunity to change their sizes, names, and so on should a story need arise. Perhaps they'll keep them, but it's not my info to give out.

I will be including those models as silhouettes in my next Scale Chart update and I'll be contacting 343i to see what I can do about names and ship types. Will I be able to use what we cut from the book or will I have to just label them UNSC Ship #1, etc. I hope to have an answer soon.
