The Extermination of Karava is when the Covenant exterminated a sapient specie located on Karava.
Battle
The unknown specie refused to join the Covenant, so the Covenant sent N'weo-pattern World Strikers to eliminate them. A mission which they were successful in.[1]
Aftermath
The Sangheili and other Covenant client species settled the world after it came under Covenant control.[2]
