Flood Containment Facilities

Summary

Deep in a swamp on Installation 04, the Covenant unwittingly mistook a Forerunner Flood containment facilty for a weapons cache. The UNSC forces, led by Captain Keyes, attempted to take the "cache" from the Covenant for use in their resistance movement. When they got there, they discovered that the Covenant had released the parasitic organism and had attempted, unsuccessfully to recontain them. The area soon was completely overrun by the Flood, as the organisms continued to damage the containment areas and allowed even more flood to escape and multiply. This area is presumed destroyed along with the rest of Installation 04.
