| Petty Warrant Officer Shiela Polaski appeared in [[Halo: First Strike]]. She was a member of the [[23rd Naval Air Squadron]]. She was the pilot of a [[Pelican]] that managed to escape the explosion of [[Installation 04]], carrying [[Sergeant Johnson]], [[Corporal Locklear]] the [[ODST|Helljumper]], and First Lieutenant [[Lieutenant Haverson|Elias Haverson]] of [[ONI]] with her. They meet up with the [[Master Chief]] aboard his [[Longsword]] fighter, and there she learned to operate a covenant dropship docked there. She had a budding romance with locklear that ended when she was killed along with [[Li-008]] and [[Spartan-044|Anton-044]] while repairing a damaged section of the ''[[Ascendant Justice]]'' while in [[slipspace]].
