However, the armor was later determined to be [[Mark VI MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor/V variant]]. The name and changes in appearance are purely cosmetic, however, having no impact on gameplay. * In Halo 3, a player can use the different armor permutations to construct a relatively close visual approximation of SPI armor, using the Hyabusa shoulder armor, EVA helmet, and either the Scout or the EOD chest armor, or another chest armor of the players choice, though a more correct look would be to have the Hayabusa shoulder plates on the forearms instead.

Since armor permutations are limited, the above combination is the closest that a player can come to having Spartan III armor, in a visual sense.
