:You do know we're Forerunner right? And also, in Contact Harvest, after Mercident Bias(Or however you spell it)tells the Prophets at the Dreadnought that he has watched them misinterpret it for years, and he states that their symbol for "reclaimation" was actually upside down, and stood for "reclaimer", and therefore Harvest was full of them. :I don't think that enough is explained on the forerunners in the Halo universe as the master chief or any other UNSC personnel have plenty of time to ask 343 guilty spark about the forerunners or at least the origin of the Halo rings.
:
:"The Forerunners then left the Orion arm of the galaxy, and the Flood were halted".
:If the forerunners activated the Halos then im sure at least some of them would have survived. If they were so great in number that they could populate the galaxy with colonies of 2 billion + forerunners, how could they all have died out. If they did survive and they did flee the orions arm, then why wouldn't they come back to investigate the destruction of one of their Halos? or when the firing of the Halo at the hands of the master chief put the rest of the halo structures on standby, then any surviving forerunners would surely come back to investigate. Also, something that has bothered me about this game is that if the:
:Sangheili
:San Shyum
:Jackles - whatever they're called, kig yar I think
:Ungoy
:Jiralhanae? - Brutes
:Lokogo? - hunters
:Homo sapiens
:Drones - who knows what they're called, they're drones..
and various other intelligent species existed in the orions arm alone, then why wouldnt the UNSC send out a distress message in the hopes of other intelligent species, informing them of the possible extinction of all species in the milky way? It is understandable if they feared having yet another foe enter the already downhill battle but shouldn't they have at least tried to request the aid of another intelligent species for a common cause, saving the entire galaxy from total extinction?
