function of this machine

I came across this Covenant machine on the halo: reach level 'Pillar of Autumn'. I don't know what the fuck it is though. Does anyone else have an idea? At first I thought it was a food nipple, but this appears to be false, as they're in backwards. My guess it's some sort of resting device or a refill station for their methane tanks.--Thijsbos 07:51, 29 January 2011 (EST)

Thanks. I've seen the tanks in abundance in halo 2, but never knew they were methane refill tanks. lol. this one was the only one I could spot in Reach, though I assume there are more.--Thijsbos 07:55, 29 January 2011 (EST)
