To get to the vacation on the level [[Regret]], play the level up until the point where you have exited the second underwater elevator. Continue to the area outside, kill all the enemies and wait for the pelican to arrive. When the pilot says "This is my last run, Chief," look for a small bulge of land to the far left of the hill where the [[Elites]] were. Jump on this ledge and when the [[Pelican]] has lowered near to the ground, jump onto the Pelican and wait until it turns around and flies off. Jump off at the ledge in the direction were the Pelican will be flying towards (you may need to time the jump a few times or else you will die upon landing) and continue to the mountain on either your left or your right side. The smaller mountain on the right is easier to climb, but you must stay on the pointy ridge of the mountain as you reach the top or else you will fall to your death. The same can be done with the other mountain but you can also climb up the other path facing the mountain foothills (there is a "V"-shaped crevice where you can slowly climb up without sliding down), but this will take more time. On the larger moutain you will be so high that some parts of the level will "fade away" as you get higher. At any point you can return to the level, simply backtrack carefully down the slope and jump of the small ledge near the ruins where the [[gondola]] that takes you to Regret's temple is located. Also, if you want to, you can go to the edge of the level, simply go right of the taller mountain past a small lake until you reach a gray wall at the very end.

How to get there

Play through the level normally until you get to the area outside after you have exited the second underwater elevator. Kill all the enemies, and wait for the Pelican to arrive. When the pilot says, "this is my last run, Chief, I'm nearly out of fuel," look for a small bulge of land to the far left of the hill where the Elites were. Jump on this ledge and, when the Pelican has lowered near to the ground, jump on top of it. When the Pelican takes off, jump off to the right of the direction Pelican is flying. Turn right and walk up the left side of the mountain. On moutain you will be so high that some parts of the level will not be visible, as the game's engine refuses to render objects a certain distance away.

What you can do

From here you can explore the side of the level across from the Delta Halo Vacation without walking all the way around, which takes several attempts culminating at several hours of walking, after which you will most likely not wish to explore. If you want to, you can go to the edge of the level by simply going to either side of the mountain until you reach a gray wall at the very end.

At any point you can return to the level; simply backtrack carefully down the slope and jump of the small ledge near the ruins where the gondola that takes you to Regret's temple is located.
