"Halo Blue" is the name currently thought to actually be a new Halo game from Bungie.

Overview

"Halo Blue" was first discovered when an entry for the product on the Wal-Mart database appeared in a picture taken from Wal-Mart's intranet. According to this entry the product is set to be released 30th September 2008, although this is likely to be a placeholder date.[1]

Despite a considerable level of expectancy from Halo fans for more information on "Halo Blue" to be released during Microsoft's press conference at E3 2008 there was no information announced on any new Halo projects.

It is thought that "Halo Blue" was the codename or working title for a Halo project of a different name as it had been confirmed that it was not the codename for Halo: Chronicles which is a completely separate Halo project altogether.

However, controversy struck when searching for "halo blue" in the Wal-Mart online catalogue. Many Believe Halo Blue is a Baby Blanket. The question still remains however, as to why it is featured in the "video games" section

Trivia

  • Halo Blue might be a "Level Editor" (not to be confused with Forge) of sorts; containing Bots, and a gigantic empty map, similar to Foundry, only devoid of geometry and play spaces. It is thought that this blank canvas map is what the user will start with when making a new map, and that they completely construct an actual map, likely using a similar method to Forge
  • Contrary to popular belief it is not a USB flash drive, a Master Chief shaped flash drive that was released in December, 2007.
  • Rumors have been spreading about a new armor that may come with it to use in Halo 3.
