I'm sorry, but it's just sticking out at me. I think [[Eric Nylund]] is just horribly confused on how warrant offiers work. Either that, or the UNSC has a completely different way of handling warrant officers than any other military I'm aware of. Warrant officers are separately ranked - senior to enlisted personnel, but junior to regular officers. Yes, I did read the article he linked, but unless Nylund devolved back to the old British Empire usage (something I rather doubt, given the preponderance of how warrant officers are handled in modern militaries), he effectively gave Polaski two separate ranks. Personally, and granted, my read on this is likely complicated by my own military experience and having worked with several warrants for my entire career, I would suspect Polaski would be a Warrant Officer, as a PO2 would be very junior to see in a cockpit as an engineer or gunner, and I'll be honest, I've never even heard of an enlisted soldier who was a rated pilot. --[[User talk:Kant Lavar|Kant Lavar]] 02:30, May 13, 2010 (UTC) | I'm sorry, but it's just sticking out at me.
