The M11B nonlinear cannon is a directed-energy weapon employed as a primary weapon on the S-930 Pegasus strike fighter. It is a part of the Spartan Laser line of laser weapons employed throughout the United Nations Space Command, alongside the M6 Grindell/Galilean Nonlinear Cannon and M8C Grindell/Galilean Nonlinear Cannons used on the AV-22 Sparrowhawk and G79H-TC Pelican aircraft.[1]

Production notes

The M11B's designation and place on the Pegasus fighter is a reference to Isaac Hannaford's original concept art for the FSS-1000 Sabre fighter produced for Halo: Reach. In Hannaford's original art, he lists a chin-mounted Spartan Laser underneath the fighter's cockpit.
