Production notes

Main article: Cut Halo: Reach weapons

This shotgun design was originally concepted by artist Glenn Israel for inclusion in Halo: Reach, alongside a similar civilian hunting rifle design.[3] These weapons were ultimately cut from the game, before later being reused in The Glass Horizon story arc of Halo: Escalation in 2015. The shotguns designed for Reach had wooden furniture, whereas the ones shown in Escalation have more modern furniture.[4][5]
