Victor-101 is a SPARTAN-II Commando of the UNSC Naval Special Warfare Command who served with Team Black as a sniper. He is designated in the team as Black-Four, and his visor is etched with the roman numeral "IV".[1][2][3]

Biography

Conscription

Victor was born around 2511 and was one of a genetic make-up that the Office of Naval Intelligence and Dr. Halsey were interested in. After being selected as a suitable candidate for the SPARTAN-II Program in 2517, he was abducted and sent to Reach, and trained by the AI Déjà and Chief Petty Officer Mendez, along with the rest of the Spartan children. He was assigned to Team Black, and trained with the other teams such as the Red Team.[3] In 2525, he and the other candidates underwent a series of augmentations to improve their abilities. Black-Four was among the ones that survived and were not crippled or killed by the procedure.

Training

While being trained by SCPO Franklin Mendez, Black-One and Victor secretly had a relationship. Three was jealous of them and ratted them out to Mendez, who sent both to the brig. Red Team then heard of this and tracked down One as the team leader and took out her left eye to send the message that her team should take their training seriously. Victor never spoke with One after that incident.[4][5]

Battle of Verge

Sometime during the Human-Covenant War, Team Black was sent to destroy a heavily-fortified Covenant Beacon within the ruins of Cuidad de Arias on the UNSC Colony world, Verge. Black-Two encountered an apparently non-hostile Yanme'e, and convinced the other members that they could trust the Drone for intelligence on the area. Hopalong, as the Drone was nicknamed, led Team Black accordingly through underground tunnels that were hollowed-out by swarms of Drones. Black-Two, during their attack on the Mgalekgolo and Kig-Yar positioned by each pylon, discovered that the Drones were psychopathic prisoners rather then slaves as Hopalong led them to believe. Team Black was able to set C-12 Shaped Charges just before Hopalong freed the hostile Drone inmates. Although Black-Three struggled with the swarm and was ultimately rescued by Black-Two, the team escaped the area and the charges on the pylons were detonated.

Later Career

Some time after the mission on Verge, Victor served in the Battle of Line Installation 1-4 on an Unnamed Moon. He carried the AI Iona within his MJOLNIR suit.[2][3]
