Operation

An Operation is a planned military offensive conducted by UNSC forces, generally against a specific enemy objective or group of objectives. Operations can be large scale battles or small, covert insertions. Operations recieve unique code words to distinguish themselves from other actions without giving away sensistive information should discussion of them be intercepted.
Known UNSC Operations
- Operation: HYPODERMIC (dates unknown), a mysterious and secret ONI project that has been in progress since at least 2531.
- Operation: FIRST STRIKE (2552), a five Spartan offensive against the Covenant battle station Unyielding Heirophant.
- Operation: TREBUCHET (2513), a UNSC attack on the Eridanus Rebels.
- Operation: WHITE GLOVE (2552) the demolition of CASTLE Base to prevent it from capture.
- Operation: KALEIDOSCOPE (2525), the assasination of a rebel political leader on Harvest.
- Operation: TORPEDO (2545), the attack on Covenant refinery planet Pegasi Delta by SPARTAN-III Beta Company.
- Operation: PROMETHEUS (2537), the attack on Covenant shipyard K7-49 by SPARTAN-III Alpha Company.
