Red Team

Red Team is a United Nations Space Command infantry team.
It was composed of two dozen SPARTAN-IIs, and actively participated in the Battle of Reach. However, the SPARTAN-II "aura of invincibility", was shattered by the massive casualties totaled on Red Team because of their combat with far superior numbers of Covenant forces on Reach. Many were killed in the insertion and in the subsequent engagements.
During the Reach campaign, Red Team was split up into several, smaller teams. These teams were: Team Alpha, Team Beta, Team Gamma and Team Delta.
Red Team was commanded by SPARTAN-104 (Fred) and its second-in-command was SPARTAN-087 (Kelly). Spartan-029 (Joshua) assumed command of Red Team on Sigma Octanus IV.
