The Battle Begins is a campaign-exclusive trailer for Halo: Reach. It was released on July 29th, 2010 and runs for 1:06.[1] It has a rather dramatic notion, focusing on parts of the campaign that contemplate the Covenant invasion/destruction of Reach.
Trivia
- At approximately 41 seconds, Noble Six is seen holding a pair of dog tags, possibly belonging to a teammate or someone else related to the SPARTAN program.
- The trailer's length, 1:06, is possibly a reference to Bungie's love of the number 7, because 1+6=7.
- Contributors at HBO have noted that the final image of Noble Six staring at a crashed Covenant corvette resembles Crashed, a piece of artwork from Marathon 2: Durandal, made by Craig Mullins.
- A TV version of this video has been released with a few extra scenes. The most noticable being a Covenant Cruiser being struck by a possible MAC blast. This may be the same Cruiser seen at the end of the trailer.
- Throughout the trailer, the number of Noble Team periodically decrease between the events of action until only Noble Six remains.
- At about 32 seconds, Noble Six is shown jumping from the Covenant Corvette to a UHH-144 Falcon, where Jorge grabs him, this may show that the Zealot multiplayer map is in the campaign at that point.
- At about 36 seconds, the scene shows a good look at the Elite Field Marshalls
