Template:Planet

Sedra is a distant human Outer Colony planet, located in the Orrichon system.[1] A majority of the planet's colonists hold disdain for the Unified Earth Government.[2]

History

At some point after the Battle of Installation 04, an Office of Naval Intelligence unit, led by Jameson Locke, traveled to the world to investigate terrorist activity. However, while on the planet, the unit was caught in a horrific terrorist attack. To survive, the ONI unit was forced to work together with a Sedran commander, Randall Aiken.[2] While on Sedra, the unit discovered an alien artifact.[3] During this time, a fragment of Installation 04, that attempted to escape its destruction at the hands of John-117, exited slipspace over the planet.[4]

Trivia

  • In keeping with several mythological references, the colony of Sedra seems to have Norse influences. While belittling the people of Sedra as "200 years behind [the UNSC]," one of Locke's team members makes mention that the Sedrans "still believe in Valhalla." Valhalla, in Norse mythology, is the High Hall of the god Odin, and one of several afterlife destinations in the Norse belief. Valhalla is also the name of a Multiplayer map in Halo 3.--Ocean Soul (talk) 21:16, 11 November 2014 (EST)
