Order of Battle
The Covenant came to Jericho VII and battled UNSC forces above the planet for three days in a long stalemate.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Blue Team Members: Blue-One, Two, Three, Four, and Five massacred the Covenant forces. Blue Team's mission was to draw out the Covenant rear guard, so Red Team could slip through and plant a HAVOK tactical nuke for the next Covenant ship that landed and dropped it's shields. Several Spartans are able to kill hundreds of Grunts with little difficulty, and destroy their Banshee air support and Shade ground support quickly.
The Marines, operating elsewhere, suffered minor casualties and easily accomplished their goals as well. The 105th Drop Jet Platoon were slaughtered by the thousands of Grunts on the ground. Blue Team countered by killing hundreds of Grunts in one mission. All of the Spartan teams easily accomplished their missions safely and returned to the fleet in a Pelican dropship.
Unfortunately, in space, the UNSC lost after a brutal three day orbiting bombardment. Captain De Blanc got the Spartans home, but Spartan-117 requested to watch the planet be glassed. He observed the assault for nearly an hour as the planet was destroyed.
