Background
An Armored Matrix is a form of complex, armored, storage devices that the UNSC uses for the storage and transportation of Artificial Intelligence constructs. The Armored matrix is used when there is a lack of a Holotank technology, such as on the battlefield. The Matrix is reinforced to make it difficult to destroy, though not impossible. Though the AI contained in it can communicate verbally, there is no hologram emitter for it to manifest a body; hence, the AI can talk, but it cannot see, depended on its humans' visualizations.
The Class-C Military AIs of the ODST Command Human Entry Vehicles are carried in Armored Matrixes so that they may ride to a combat zone intact and be further operated when a Firebase or other operational command post is put into place.
