Standoff

Jodrell Bank is the codename for one of the Halo 3 Downloadable Content multiplayer maps . This was one of the First DLC Maps to be announced by bungie, the other being Moonbase Alpha. in the 11/16/07 Bungie update, some weapons were named. There is a Spartan Laser in the middle of the map, and Rocket Launchers on each sides of the map. Each side also has a Warthog somewhere on the map. It has been described as similar in some ways to Blood Gulch.

This level appears to be named after the Jodrell Bank Observatory located in Macclesfield, England. Given it's name, the map may feature around a similar type of facility or perhaps even on the dome of a radio telescope itself.

From the information given, Jodrell Bank seems to be a Spiritual Successor to Blood Gulch, or a remake of other maps similar to Blood Gulch, such as the popular Sidewinder. It has been confirmed that this is NOT a remake of Blood Gulch, but "in terms of engagement distance, it feels like Blood Gulch." With this information, it can be assumed that Jodrell Bank is a fairly large map, and it is most likely symmetrical. This is due to the fact that 2 Flag CTF reminds one of 2 Flag CTF on Blood Gulch, even more so than Valhalla does.
