ONI Recon 111

ONI Recon 111[1] is a United Nations Space Command Office of Naval Intelligence military unit.
It was stationed nearby Voi, Kenya during the Second Battle of Earth, and was tasked to report Covenant activity near a small section of Earth that had been glassed by Covenant warships. ONI Recon 111 reported to Commander Miranda Keyes (one of the UNSC resistance leaders) that there was something within the "crater", the Ark, and shortly afterwards, Fleet Admiral Hood ordered a strike on the Covenant forces to force them back to the crater.
ONI Recon 111 is believed to be part of Section I of the Office of Naval Intelligence because it is involved in active field intelligence.
It is set to be featured in the campaign level Tsavo Highway of Halo 3[2].
