Template:Ratings The MA5 Series[1] is a series of rifles used by the United Nations Space Command Defense Force during the Insurrection and the Human-Covenant War. All MA5s are bullpup weapons, with the magazine, bolt, and firing pin located behind the trigger. They serve as the "bread and butter" of UNSCDF forces.

The MA5 series was preceded by the MA3 Assault Rifle, though it is unknown if any other models were in use between the UNSC's dropping of the MA3[2] and its adoption of the MA5.

The weapon's design is similar to the real-life FN F2000, but the design of the cocking handle resembles those of several Heckler & Koch weapons, such as the UMP series, the MP5, and the G3.
