Template:Weapon Infobox The M247T Medium Machine Gun, formally Machine Gun, Caliber 7.62 mm, M247, is a variant of the M247 General Purpose Machine Gun produced by Misriah Armory and used by the UNSC Defense Force. It is primarily outfitted on the M808 "Scorpion" Main Battle Tank as an onboard anti-infantry weapon.[1] The standard M808 model uses a pintle-mounted M247T with a dedicated operator's compartment near the front of the vehicle. On the M808B variant, the weapon is instead mounted coaxially to the right of the main gun turret. The latter mounting configuration is shared with the M850 "Grizzly" MBT.
