Imber is a Unified Earth Government colony world. Late in the Human-Covenant War, the Covenant attacked the colony and Orbital Drop Shock Troopers were deployed to defend it. During the battle, Staff Sergeant Malcolm Geffen, Corporal Vasily Beloi and Emanuel Barakat hijacked a Spirit to exfiltrate from the planet.[1] The Covenant dropship later ended up on Criterion and was left there by the ODSTs.[2]
