The Headshot medal is awarded for killing an enemy with a headshot. It is available in Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach and Halo 4 campaign, multiplayer, Firefight and Spartan Ops. In the first three games it is represented by a "targeted" purple skull in the middle of a gold six-sided star. In Halo 4 it is represented by a targeted white skull on a blue circle on top of a grey four-point star.

This medal cannot be achieved with every weapon in the three games, but only with headshot-capable weapons. In Halo: 3 ODST the medal is used in place of the Sniper Kill Medal.
