On a related matter, I've also noticed the year articles can be a pain to navigate through (you have to scroll down and find the specific year you're looking for from the Timeline template every time even if you're browsing them sequentially) and could benefit from a similar system. Perhaps the "previous" and "next" arrows could be integrated to the Timeline template, though most of the time you'd have to set the parameters manually as we don't have articles for every year. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 00:20, 18 February 2015 (EST)

For comics, it would be neat if we could implement a "previous" and "next" button system, such as the one used by the infoboxes on the Transformers Wiki, for example, this page. Even for the prose novels it would be a useful feature to track books in a series, or chronologically. And it seems that Halo's comic presence is going to be significant enough in the future to warrant keeping track of that sort of thing - comics in a series, and series succeeding each other, like Initiation vs Escalation. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 03:35, 3 February 2015 (EST)

I agree. Would this template fit under the infobox or be at the bottom of the page? It might be good to show us a page where that template is used. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 03:40, 3 February 2015 (EST)
For clarity, I know that we track issues in a series at the bottom of the page, but I mean a new infobox at the top. I know from searching through issues of Escalation that having to scroll down to the template is a tedious process. It also presents the information more immediately, without the need for a separate template. I also did mean to make the second link lead to an example, but I seem to have used the wrong link. It should be fixed now. -- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 03:47, 3 February 2015 (EST)

Seems like a good addition to me. It would be more user-friendly than the current system. --Dragonclaws(talk) 03:51, 3 February 2015 (EST)

I definitely think that this would be a welcome addition.--Spartacus TalkContribs 13:01, 3 February 2015 (EST)

Sounds good. While we're on the subject I've been considering the possibility of a navigation box listing all comic issues on the bottom of the article (much like our levels template). This would allow users to access the article for any individual issue at will, something that would come in handy with longer-running series like Escalation where you otherwise need to either keep flipping through the issues with the "Previous" or "Next" buttons or access and then scroll down the article for the whole series. This template would probably also replace the "Literature" navbox in comic issue articles, being more immediately relevant. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 00:37, 4 February 2015 (EST)

That sounds good as well. I believe that's also what TFWiki does, ie; on this page.-- Qura 'Morhek The Autocrat of Morheka 21:02, 4 February 2015 (EST)
