Assembler Sentinels are a type of Strato-Sentinel employed by the Forerunners.[3] Like the similarly-named Constructors, Assemblers are used to build Forerunner installations and their components.[2]

Alongside these grapplers, Assemblers also feature integrated energy shielding and warship-grade directed-energy projectors for defense.[2]

Operational history[edit]

During the Forerunner-Flood war, Assemblers were sometimes used in an offensive role against the Flood, using their gravitic grapplers against the parasite in a limited offensive capacity.[2] Toward the war's end, Assemblers were used to construct the Portal at Voi on Earth.[4]

The Foundry of Installation 00 is populated by numerous Assemblers, as well as Retrievers. While the Retrievers extract resources and minerals from the small moon held there, the Assemblers use the materials to build components of the Halo Array and to repair the Ark, if required.[1][8] Assemblers were used alongside Extractor Sentinels to construct Installation 08.[9][10]
