GEN1 information

Overview

The MP helmet is a fully-enclosed variant of the CH252 helmet worn by the UNSC Marine Corps and Army.[1]

Development history

One of just a handful of assets shared between branches of the UNSC Armed Forces, the MP variant is a shared asset with Beta-5 Security; as such, sensor upgrades are many and varied.[1]

Usage

The soldiers who aided Noble Team in boarding the Covenant corvette Ardent Prayer had MP helmets with transparent visors as part of their vacuum suits.[3]

The Marines of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn wore Military Police helmets equipped with transparent visors during the Battle of Asźod.[4] Some of the Marines assigned to the Autumn later wore the helmet with an urban grey camouflage during the Battle of Installation 04.[5]

GEN2 compatibility

Previously available only to Beta-5 security teams and select Army rapid-reaction forces, MILITARY POLICE helmets have found a home with Spartan-IV fireteams that require its hardened uplink, command network module, and remote sensor controller.[6]
