Regret is a Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer map. It is based on a Covenant CCS-class battlecruiser[1] in Thel 'Vadam's fleet that crashed on an unknown Halo ring after taking damage in a space battle. The map is suited to 4v4 Team Slayer mode and will be featured in the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta.[2] Regret is a remix of the map Truth. The map will feature the Hydra MLRS as the main power weapon after a vote was taken on the Halo Channel. It, along with Eden, are featured in Week Two of Halo 5's beta.

Trivia

  • When looking up at the sky, one will notice that half of the Halo ring is missing. Whether or not this is intentional or is just a visual error is not known.
  • The original design idea of Truth remix was to simply turn the map geometry upside down. The concept of having a crashed Covenant ship was eventually developed from this.[2]
  • The central structure on Regret is crawling with large beetles that are reminiscent of Earth's Beetles.
