Into the Fire is one of several short stories in Halo: Fractures: Extraordinary Tales from the Halo Canon. Taking place four years after the end of the Human-Covenant War and Kilo-Five's activities on Venezia in Halo: Mortal Dictata, Into the Fire was written by Kelly Gay and will have narrative connections to Halo: Smoke and Shadow.[1]
