UNSC Nereid was a United Nations Space Command mixed cargo hauler.[1] In October of 2558 it was knocked out of slipstream space in the wake of the Created uprising, leaving it powerless and stranded.

- The Nereid was likely named in reference to the sea-nymph companions of Poseidon in Greek mythology or to the third-largest moon of Neptune.
