Summery
Support Starships are unarmed ships that usually assist rather then assault. These ships are used to carry supplies, weapons, and other needs. This class also uses stealth ships, used to gather information.
The UNSC use this classification for stealth purposes, and use laser jamming technology for these purposes. There classes of support starships include Calypso-class Exfiltration Craft,Black Cat-class Subprowler, Chiropetra-class Stealth Vessel, and UNSC Prowler.
The Covenant uses this classification for stealth and supplies. for stealth, Laser beam transceiver and advanced cloaking technology make it virtually invisible to enemy sensors. They use the supplie ship to carry food and weapons. There classes of support starships include the Covenant Stealth Corvette and the Agricultural Support Ship.
