Support Starships are starship classifications within the United Nations Space Command and Covenant fleets whose primary purposes were not to stay in combat, but to play more specialized roles - covert infiltration and exfiltration, intelligence gathering, supply fleets, etc...
UNSC Support Starships
The UNSC use this classification for stealth purposes, and use laser jamming technology for these purposes. There classes of support starships include Calypso-class Exfiltration Craft,Black Cat-class Subprowler, Chiropetra-class Stealth Vessel, and UNSC Prowler.
Covenant Support Starships
The Covenant uses this classification for stealth and supplies. for stealth, Laser beam transceiver and advanced cloaking technology make it virtually invisible to enemy sensors.
