This article is about the actual rank. For the Xbox LIVE Halo 3 rank, see Major (Halo 3).
Major is the lowest field-grade commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Marine Corps, UNSC Army, and UNSC Air Force, equal in rank to the Lieutenant Commander in the UNSC Navy.
A Major is typically found as an executive officer in a battalion. However, they may be found in command of battalions, such as the case of Major Antonio Silva during the Battle of Installation 04, or in service as staff officers for larger units.
