Kenya, officially the Republic of Kenya, is a country in Eastern Africa, Earth.[2] It is a part of the East African Protectorate.[1]

Kenya hosted one of Earth's Space elevators in the city of Mombasa.[3][4]

Ancient history[edit]

Circa 97,445 BCE, the Forerunners built a slipspace portal leading to Installation 00 outside of the Milky Way galaxy, in what would later become Kenya.[5][6] Around the same time, a human elder known as N'chala and his tribe lived nearby, observing the Portal's construction.[7]

In the 20th-century, the military base Crow's Nest was constructed in the country.[8]

Due to economic stability and location, Mombasa was chosen to host Earth's first space elevator and construction began in 2302. By 2430, nearly a 74km radius around the city became known as "Old Mombasa".[9]
