GAU-23/AW/Linkless Feed Autocannon

Template:Ratings The GUA-23/AW/Linkless Feed Autocannon is a weapon in service within the UNSC Marine Corps, mounted on Hawk VTOL gunships, capable of engaging a number of enemy units of various types, ranging from infantry, to armored vehicles, to aircraft. The Autocannons are also mounted on Vulture heavy gunships, which use a .50 caliber round that is heavier than the Hawk's ammunition. However, it seems unlikely that either aircraft would use a .50 caliber or lower caliber round. This is because the Warthog's machine gun turret uses .50 caliber rounds as well, but they are much less damaging. The GUA-23 Autocannon must use a 15mm or higher caliber round to be considered an autocannon. Hence, the GUA-23 on the Vulture seems to be a 25 or 30mm cannon.
