Bloodline is a multiplayer map in Halo 2 Anniversary. It is a remake of Coagulation from Halo 2, with some minor changes. Coagulation is one of the six Halo 2 multiplayer maps that have been completely re-imagined in Halo 2 Anniversary.[1]
Layout
Changes from Coagulation
- The bases and other structures on the map are now of human construction, whereas Coagulation—and all other previous Blood Gulch remakes—are based in Forerunner locations.
- The bottom floor of both bases has been removed and the bases are more simple in design. Both team's base can be entered from a hole in the flooring. Man cannons have also been added to each base. A red or blue beam is emitted on a cliff behind each base; the beam's color matches the nearest base.[2]
- A device has been added near the center of each base. When activated, it releases an EMP burst to the surrounding areas of the base that disables all vehicles within range.[2]
- 343 Industries announced that players can expect subtle gameplay changes to Bloodline, similar to the addition of the central energy shield on Zenith.[3]
- An AV-14 Hornet and the M274-M Gungoose have been added to the map. The M808B Scorpion has been removed by default, although it can be enabled. A M7S SMG has been added to the ramps of the bases.[2][4]
- Deployable vehicle access bridges have been added to the map; one is found in the vicinity of red base.[4][5]
- The central area of the map now houses a bunker, titled the "UNSC Training Bunker", embedded in the terrain. It is the location of a M90 shotgun.[2][4][6]
- Three trees on the original Coagulation have been replaced by three broken-down, concrete pillars.[2]
