The Banished is a violent mercenary organization primary composed of Jiralhanae, in addition to Sangheili, Mgalekgolo, and Unggoy.[1] Atriox, a powerful warlord, serves as the chief of the Banished, as well as the commander of the faction's massive army.[2] Approximately thirty years after UNSC Spirit of Fire lost contact with the rest of the United Nations Space Command in 2531,[3] the Banished pursued the crew of the ship on Installation 00.[2]
