This chapter's name and subject may be a reference to Mark Bowden's historical biography Black Hawk Down, or more likely the film adaptation by Ridley Scott. One of Black Hawk Down's main threads tells the story of Delta Force personnel trapped behind enemy lines after their helicopter is shot down during the Battle of Mogadishu, Somalia. This is similar to the chapter's plot, in which Fireteam Crimson must hold out for extraction their transport is shot down.
