Esko Korpijaakko is an archaeologist in the team that dug up the Forerunner facility on Coral as part of the Orion Archaeological Expedition. He has a wife, Carrie, and a son, Oscar. In Conversations from the Universe, he writes a letter to his wife detailing his work.
